Crystal Palace Ladies Football Club

Crystal Palace Ladies are a Women’s National Southern Division team. The club was formed in 1992 and we have progressed through the women’s leagues to our current position in the second tier of women’s football. CPLFC are an ambitious club who have set the aim to reach the National League. We are currently seeking two new coaches who can help us attain this aim.

We require two coaches who hold a Level 2 coaching certificate or above or are working towards their Level 2 coaching certificate. The positions we are currently looking to fill are a reserve team manager and a senior coach. Both coaching members will be working closely with the other coaching staff and will be expected to lead and support in training sessions and match days.

Our training days are Tuesday and Thursday (7.30pm – 9.30pm) and we play our games on a Sunday. The ladies are currently training at The Priory School, Tintagel Road, Orpington, Kent BR5 4LG.

The reserve team manager role entails coaching and preparing the side for competitive games within the reserve league as well as taking the lead on match days. They will work closely with the first team manager in order to help the ladies progress and achieve first team status. They will also work with players coming back from injury and help them to reach full match fitness. The senior coach will work with both the first and reserve team girls. They will do this by supporting, leading and helping with coaching sessions.

For further information or to apply for either position please contact Natalie Curtis (CPLFC secretary) on 07756175757 or email nat_cplfc@hotmail.com.

Crystal Palace Ladies Football Club Pre Season

The 2009-2010 season for CPLFC kicks off on Sunday 28th June 2009 with a twist being added for their pre-season.  This year it will entail working partly with the Army.  The Army are the main sponsors for Crystal Palace Ladies and they have joined together to create an exciting programme for the Ladies.  This will involve working with some of the best PT Instructors the Army has to offer over numerous different activities.  Manager Quinton Naidoo believes that this will not only improve the players fitness but it will also be a great way to improve team spirit and team morale.  The club has a very busy schedule this summer with a number of pre-season games already booked.   The management has brought in new coaches and new players with the intention of making this season a very successful one.  Joining Mark Saunderson as one of the new coaches for Palace is fitness coach Jenny Archer.  Jenny has a fantastic reputation within women’s and men’s football and her expertise will no doubt benefit the girls.

CPLFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Sanderson as part of their senior coaching team for the upcoming 2009 – 2010 season.  The former Fulham Ladies manager and 2007/2008 manager of the year’s first role within the club will be to aid current manager Quinton Naidoo and his team on Sunday 14th June when they conduct their open senior trials.  For further details please visit the Crystal Palace Ladies website at www.cplfc.co.uk

Manager Quinton Naidoo commented to the club website “We are thrilled to have Mark join us.  Mark brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Ladies game.  He will have a very hands on approach which can only benefit the squad for the next season.”

“This has been a very long, hard and disappointing season for us, but the appointment of Mark shows that we are serious on challenging for promotion next season.  I feel this can be achieved by bringing in people like Mark who have a winning mentality.”

If you are interested in attending the trials please email Natalie Curtis on nat_cplfc@hotmail.com for further details.
