Crystal Palace Ladies started life as a junior team in the Southern Girls League which they won in their inaugural season of 1992-93.
The club built and expanded their youth set up over the coming seasons and steady progress followed.
By 2002-03 the 1st team was playing in the Greater London Regional League and were promoted as champions.
The following season the team were champions of the South East Combination league and were promoted to the Premier League, Southern Division and in their 1st season finished 4th.
Season 2005-06 was a mixed time with the side being affected by Management and Coaching changes throughout the season, nevertheless, the side eventually finished 9 th and consolidated their position in the league.
The 1st team also reached the final of the Surrey Cup, eventually losing 1-0 to Chelsea.
There were a further 4 trophies collected by the U/11s, U/13s and U/15s.
Youth development is one thing this club is particularly proud of as many of our players have been at the club whilst progressing through the junior ranks and the continued success of our youngsters bodes well for the long term future of the club.
Season 2006-07 saw a new 1st team Coach at the helm in former South African International, Quinton Naidoo, who brought in his own team of backroom staff.
The club will be running an U/10, U/11, U12, U/13, U14 and U/16 sides this season and continue with their sponsor TGL, as well as the Senior 1st team and reserves who are looking for their sponsorship deal with the British Army to be extended. The under 11's also have a new sponsor for this season in the form of London Locksmiths Ltd.
2008-09 promises to be an exiting and very busy season as the club look to continue their push to the National Premier League. |
